Mini golf is an entertaining game. You can either play it for fun or for a competitive drive. When it’s about competing with other teams, you would want to improve your performance by any means possible. Although the game is all about position and hitting the ball with a putter, you also need to have good footwear to have a firm grip on the ground. If the game is played on the ground, it doesn’t matter whether you just have to stand; you will need comfortable footwear to deliver the best performance.

These things can make you wonder what should and shouldn’t you wear while playing mini golf. If that’s the case with you, then in this guide, you will get the information on the kind of footwear you should prefer wearing for mini golf.

What Shoes Should You Wear To Mini Golf?

Sports Shoes

The best and the most common choice for any kind of sport which is played on the ground is sports shoes. They are made for sports. Thus, you have a firm grip on the ground. Moreover, sports shoes are slip-resistant so you can wear them in slippery areas too.

Boots

You can wear boots while playing mini golf if it’s a rainy season. It is because mini golf doesn’t require you to run; you just need to walk on the ground and stand still when you are in a position. Also, boots are slip-resistant, so they work best in rainy seasons.

Steel-toe Shoes

Sometimes the player can hit the ball with the putter so hard that it can injure the toes of other players if the ball hits them. Your feet are also exposed to risks with the putter as well. To prevent any sort of injury to your feet, wearing steel-toe shoes would be ideal.

Sneakers

If you want something more on the comfortable side, then you can wear sneakers. They are just like shoes but slightly more comfortable than them. Also, they provide the needed grip on the ground. In short, they serve all the purposes of good footwear for mini golf.

What Kind Of Shoes Should You Avoid To Mini Golf?

Loafers

Loafers are easily removable. If you jerk your leg hard, they can easily come off. It’s highly unlikely that you will run on the ground, but just in case the situation arises, you won’t be able to run in loafers. Also, they are more suitable for the domestic environment.

Footwear With Heels

Avoid footwear with heels at any cost while you are playing. You can trip off and fall on the ground, which can render you with injuries. Always wear flats while playing mini golf.

Spiked Shoes

Spiked shoes are not suitable for a sport like mini golf. You do not need the kind of grip they provide as you will get stuck in one place, and it will be daunting to change positions.

Bottom Line

So, these are the shoes that you should and shouldn’t wear to mini golf. If you are an avid golf player and like to visit new places for it, then you should play mini golf in Melbourne by Le Mans Entertainment.
